Jardin d'Atmosphère du Petit Bordeaux
The Jardin d'Atmosphere du Petit Bordeaux was the Winner of the "Best Park in France 2007 prize" . This garden which covers 1.5 hectares was started in 1987 and is a wonderful mature garden. Full of trees underplanted with hydrangeas, day lillies, hostas, ancient roses, acers and dogwoods amongst lots lots more. The garden is focused around a beautiful rather périgordien looking house. Every season has its own interest and two large ponds provide focal points in the garden.
The garden was designed and planted exclusively by a husband and wife team just showing what you can achieve even without a team of gardeners if you are prepared to work hard at your garden.
There are more than 4000 different plants including collections of Acers, Hydrangeas, Cornus (including the beautiful Cornus kousa 'Salomi', roses and grasses.
The garden was also awarded the 'Jardin Remarquable' label in 2007 by the French Minister of Culture.
