Les Jardins d'eau de Carsac

If you like water lilies you will love this garden.

Near the entrance there are some superb exotic water lilies and then there are a series of very large ponds full of water lilies. One of the ponds can be crossed via a long wooden walkway.

As well as lots of water lilies there are also great masses of lotus plants.

When I went in August they were mostly in seed but the few flowers and the amazing seed pods still looked great.

The lotus flowers generally start opening in June.

The water garden on Carsac is situated close to Sarlat in the Dordogne.

The garden is open:

1st May to 30th October 9h to 20h
