Visit Parc Floral de Paris
This is one of four gardens which together form the botanic garden of Paris. The others are: the Parc de Bagatelle, l'Ecole Du Breuil et le Jardin des Serres d'Auteuil.
Explore the Parc Floral de Paris
The Parc Floral de Paris has large collections of iris, camelias, rhodedendroms and other plants. The 'four seasons' garden has over 1200 perennials to discover and has something in flower throughout the year. There are various different themed gardens and exhibitions throughout the year. Bonsai lovers will enjoy the large greenhouse containing a large collection of bonsai.
Some of the areas such as the walks through the woods with long winding beds full of colourful beds are really spectacular and will certainly charm garden-lovers. Another popular area is the "Valley of the flowers" where colourful flower beds surround a large pond.
Within the park are special areas to showcase particular plants. There is an azalea area, a rhododendron area, a fern garden, an iris garden, a dahlia garden, a herb garden, a Mediterranean garden and a cactus garden.
This area is also the site of a couple of music festivals during the year including the Paris Jazz festival and the Festival Classique au Vert. It is also the site of a large flower shows each year.
The park covers 28 hectares in the Bois de Vincennes near to the Chateau de Vincennes in the 12th Arrondissement of Paris.
There are also picnic areas, restaurants and activities for children.
